Due to the large
number of rainouts this year, the conference board has decided to allow
all teams to participate in the playoffs. Since many games could
not be made up, playoff seedings will be assigned based upon average
number of points per game instead of total points.
The top ten teams will make the
playoffs. The playoffs are conducted in an elimination tournament format.
Teams are seeded with 1 playing 10, 2 playing 9, etc.
Standings are computed on a points
system using the following formula.
- 6 points for
each win
- 3 points for
each tie
- 0 points for
each loss
- 1 point for each
goal scored up to 3
- 1 point for a
shut out
